George Evans was appointed as Interim President of Kaskaskia College in November 2017 and was named the College’s 11th President in June 2018. He has been with Kaskaskia College since 2008 serving in various roles, as an adjunct faculty member, teaching history and political science, as Director of Kaskaskia College’s Education Program at the Centralia Correctional Center, Dean of Career and Technical Education, and now as President. George has 10 years’ experience as a private business owner and is an advocate for volunteer organizations and emergency services, having 14 combined years of law enforcement experience, as well as 18 years’ experience as a volunteer firefighter and EMT.

George is very active in the community and has served on several boards and organizations including SAFE (Sexual Assault and Family Emergencies), the Committee to Support Central High School (CSC), the Breese Chamber of Commerce, the Greater Centralia Chamber of Commerce, and has recently been appointed to the Board of Directors of Farmers and Merchants National Bank.

George is a graduate of Kaskaskia College, Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville, and is a Distinguished Graduate of Webster University with a Master’s Degree in International Relations. He resides in Albers with his wife Jessica and their twin children, Quinnley Jean and George Tuck.
